The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving our company’s sales within designated territories, focusing primarily on the financial and banking markets. This role entails developing new business opportunities and expanding market share in this sector, while also managing named national and multi-regional accounts within the assigned territory. The RSM combines strategic sales responsibilities with key account management, ensuring a targeted approach to selling our DirectToDispatch and GPS solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Market Penetration and Sales Strategy: Lead the penetration of DirectToDispatch and GPS solutions within the financial and banking sectors in your territory. Develop and implement effective sales strategies specifically tailored to these markets, continuously adapting to market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Actively identify and pursue new sales opportunities, especially within financial vertical, including cold calling and strategic prospecting to expand the customer base and build relationships with key financial institutions.
  • Product Promotion and Client Education: Provide tailored education to financial and banking clients, demonstrating how our suite of solutions addresses their security needs in the financial market.
  • Account Management: Directly manage and grow named multi location accounts, particularly within the financial and banking sectors, ensuring that these key relationships are nurtured and aligned with broader regional sales goals.
  • Sales Execution and Closure: Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to deal closure, employing strong negotiation skills to secure and finalize contracts.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Use CRM tools to track sales activities, manage customer data, and analyze trends specific to the financial and banking markets to inform sales strategies and report progress to senior management.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Comprehensive Financial Sector Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the financial and banking sectors, with the ability to leverage this expertise in both direct sales and key account management.
  • Advanced Sales Skills: Proven success in both lead generation and major account management, with a strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets within the financial market.
  • Communication and Relationship-Building: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with high-level executives and build strong, trust-based relationships within the financial sector.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Skilled in creating and executing complex sales strategies that align with the financial market’s specific requirements and support direct and channel sales objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years’ sales experience related to Security Systems is required.
  • Willing to travel 50% across the territory with potentially some travel to other locations in the US as required.
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Skilled in developing new customers and maintaining relationships.
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Able to establish goals and meet corporate objectives.
  • Self-motivated team player who works well with others.

Additional Comments

  • Remote position with standard business hours of 8:00 AM–4:30 PM ET.
  • This role requires candidates to be located in the Southeast U.S., preferably in Florida, Georgia, or Alabama.
