The Technical Team Lead is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a high-quality, scalable web application for mapping GPS trackers and delivering alerts to users. This role plays a key part in driving the architectural direction of web projects and leading a team of web developers to implement changes.
· Design, develop, and maintain dynamic, data-driven web applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies
· Design, develop, and maintain dynamic, data-driven mobile applications
· Willingness to make mission critical decisions and assume ownership of platform and architecture
· Lead architectural and design decisions for new and existing web projects
· Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and enforce best practices through code reviews
· Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility
· Implement security and data protection measures within web solutions
· Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full web stack
· Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Strong proficiency with server-side languages and frameworks (PHP)
· Familiarity with RESTful APIs, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and web services
· Familiarity with front-end technologies
· Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
· Proficient with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices
· Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser development
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field
· 5+ years of professional web development experience
Additional Comments
· This position is a remote eligible position. Preferred location in Georgia/Southeast Region of the U.S.
· Occasional travel and In-office requirements of approximately 15-25% of the time.
