Position Summary

The Business Development Executive is responsible for generating new business opportunities as it relates to the expansion of our video management systems (VMS), GPS tracking products and hardware solutions into new and diverse markets. This role requires a strong understanding of the VMS industry and a proven ability to generate new business opportunities. Primary duties include identifying potential customers, reaching out to prospects through various channels, and qualifying leads. This role will build a strong pipeline of potential customers to drive revenue growth and expand the company’s market presence.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Identify and target new business opportunities within designated sectors, including but not limited to higher education institutions, health systems, transportation and logistics, manufacturing and industrial, hospitality and entertainment, utilities and energy, and corporate campuses.

2. Develop and implement strategies to introduce and promote our VMS and GPS tracking products to prospective clients.

3. Drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new customers and the development of new distribution channels.

4. Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to ensure consistent and sustainable sales performance.

5. Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.

6. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and industry influencers within the target sectors.

7. Assist in negotiating contract terms to align with client needs and company objectives.

8. Ensure favorable terms and conditions in all client agreements.

9. Collaborate with channel partners to enhance their ability to sell and support our products.

10. Develop and manage partner relationships to maximize engagement and performance.

11. Gather and analyze market feedback to inform product enhancements and innovation.

12. Collaborate with the product development team to tailor VMS and GPS tracking solutions that meet the specific needs of each target sector.

13. Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.

14. Implement market testing strategies to validate product-market fit and refine go-to-market approaches.

15. Analyze data and metrics from market tests to inform strategic decisions and improve product offerings.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

3. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.


1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

2. 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the technology or security industry, with a focus on Video Management Systems.

3. Proven track record of successfully generating new business and driving sales growth.

4. Strong understanding of the target sectors: schools (higher education), health systems, transportation and logistics, manufacturing and industrial, hospitality and entertainment, utilities and energy, and corporate campuses.

Additional Comments

1. Standard business hours for this role are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. ET.

2. Approximately 35% of travel, both local and overnight for company meetings, industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, etc.

Salary Description
$105,000 - $130,000/year
